Thank you for your contribution, Vincent.
Just to clarify Vincent's comment: what Vincent calls the "BCP newer lectionary" is the Revised Common Lectionary, the Roman Catholic three year Sunday Mass readings, used by the majority of Christians right around the world. This is the lectionary to which this site is committed. If you follow a different pattern of reading the scriptures publicly, you are, of course, welcome here also :)

If you are using the BCP newer lectionary, then the reading from I Corinthians 15:1-11 is really great material. The Gospel, salvation, the vanity of hearing only, the witness to the resurrection, humility and grace, and apostolic inspiration. I particularly love the way this passages sets out the Apostles as Eye Witnesses to the Resurrection, and points us to the consequence of this for our salvation. The verse on grace reminds me of my own depraved sinful condition, unworthy of anything but condemnation (as was Saul), and God's gracious response in the Work of Christ.

I'm a twitter follower. I recently fell in love with this YouTube video. It brings tears to my eyes. It would make a great sermon-starter. Check it out. It's called "The Invisible Woman."
