BCP (TEC):

Almighty God,
whose Son our Savior Jesus Christ is the light of the world:
Grant that your people,
illumined by your Word and Sacraments,
may shine with the radiance of Christ’s glory,
that he may be known, worshiped, and obeyed
to the ends of the earth;
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.

As well as ordinary comments, you can add ideas, resources, hymns,… for celebrating this Sunday…

In the Southern Hemisphere, and certainly in Aotearoa-New Zealand, this is our go-slow time… So – sometimes your comments may take longer than usual to get through moderation…

  1. This week is a week of Christian Unity for us, and we are to have a joint family service next Sunday with two other churches. St Augustines (c of E) has invited The Baptist and The URC to come along and worship with us…. We also have a Picnic in the park service at Pentecost with our friends at the URC and that really is a success and looked forward to each year

    • Thanks – it is not the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity in the Southern Hemisphere, so thanks for the reminder. Northern Hemisphere it’s 18-25 Jan. Others might like to add what they do for that, or I might put up a special post for it.
