My research on the development of the Eucharistic Prayer (Anaphora) from prayer at a formal Jewish meal in the first century to the fourth century with particular reference to Antiochene and Alexandrian rites.
It explores what is known about the Birkat ha-mazon (ברכת המזון), the meal prayer at the time of Jesus. It examines Jewish influences in early Christian Eucharistic Prayers. It looks at underlying structure in the development of different traditions, and finds aspects of the inherited traditions that have been maintained and renewed to this day.
