O God,
you inspire the hearts of the faithful with a single longing,
grant your people to love what you command
and to desire what you promise,
so that in all the changes and chances
of this uncertain world,
our hearts may surely there be fixed
where true joys are to be found;
through Jesus Christ
who is alive with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen.

Loving God,
your Son became poor that he might make many rich;
by the example of your servant Clare,
inspire in us a singleness of heart in your service,
so that we may love and care for those around us,
in humble obedience to Jesus Christ our Lord
who is alive with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen.
Living and gracious God,
you have prepared for those who love you
good things which no eye can see,
and which surpass our understanding;
pour into our hearts such longing for you,
that we,
loving you in all things and above all things,
may obtain your promises,
which exceed all that we can desire;
through Jesus Christ
who is alive with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen.
