This year’s ecumenical Christmas advertising campaign in the UK (they have one each year) has Christ in the middle of consumerism. “Christmas Starts with Christ” is the catchphrase across a number of years. A cycle courier and plasterer stand in for the shepherds. The wise men become three successful entrepreneurs and their gifts are a Swarovski crystal perfume bottle, a Faberge egg, and a replica Damian Hirst skull. Clothes are from shops such as Topman, Zara, and Donna Karan.

Off topic perhaps, perhaps not, but today is Epiphany
Not really off topic at all IMO, thanks Andrei 🙂 I moderate your comment on returning from the Eucharist celebrating that. The Romanian Orthodox were also there. And interesting to compare traditions – theirs focusing much more on the Baptism of Christ which we will celebrate Sunday. I was conscious as I published today’s post, of the wise men in this advertising image as the Christmas Season draws to a close (in my reading of it anyway – I know others go on until February 2). Blessings.
