Christine Sine has written a truly excellent set of morning and evening prayers for Advent, as well as a blessing for the Advent wreath. My wife and I will be using them this year.

  4. Hi Bosco,

Since you were asking (on Twitter) for additions to your resources here, you may want to check out my list of Advent resources on the Lectionary Worship Resources blog. The prayers usually get a particularly good response.

In my congregation we have a follow-up story with a new episode each advent service. The end of the story, where the clue will be revealed is on Christmas morning, the idea is that the members of the congregation start thinking what it might mean and thus get in some kind of a process which walks them from the first advent to christmas…this particular story I wrote is about becoming a light to others, how that is done is something which the main character slowly discovers as an angel asks him questions and explains something each episode.
