Almighty God,
who called your Church to bear witness
that you were in Christ reconciling the world to yourself:
help us to proclaim the good news of your love,
that all who hear it may be drawn to you;
through him who was lifted up on the cross,
and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.

Being an “r12 Christian”: – Surrendered to GOD,
– Separated from the world’s values,
– Sober in Self-Assessment, Serving in
love, and
– Supernaturally Responding to evil
with good -.
(From Romans 12 and http://www.venturechristianchurch.org, teaching from Chip Ingram, Senior Pastor). Achieving a deeper CHRIST-like character.

Hi there, I am a GP with a special interest in Mens Health. I am encouraging Pastors around the world to help the men in their community to get checked out for common conditions by visiting their GP or family doctor at least once a year. This way we can reach many men across the globe with the message that they are worth it, and should steward the body god gave them!
I am starting a movement in the UK called Pastors Pitstop which will allow full time Christian workers or those in the church to have an annual health check with a whole man approach – the bio-psycho-social-spiritual model!
I would love it if as part of your year on fathers day you encouraged men to go to see the doc and get checked or raise any concerns and take their sons along too to model what sensible self care behaviour looks like and teach them how to access the system.
I see youre following my twitter feed which sends out a daily news or issue link to a mens health related area – thanks for watching and I do hope you find them useful.
Suggestions for Sunday:
Have Bishop Victoria Matthews give a sermon! Ask for the Brother Brian story!
