Three years ago, with her permission, I quoted my good e-friend Meredith Gould‘s wonderful reworking of of Teresa of Avila’s prayer:
Christ has no online presence but yours,
No blog, no Facebook page but yours,
Yours are the tweets through which love touches this world,
Yours are the posts through which the Gospel is shared,
Yours are the updates through which hope is revealed.
Christ has no online presence but yours,
No blog, no Facebook page but yours.
Yesterday, on Meredith’s blogsite More Meredith Gould, she embedded a video by ELCA pastor Rev. Jason Chesnut (@crazypastor) of that prayer. It moved me, and reminded me once again what we are doing here online:
For many, Sunday is #SocialMediaSunday
I love this – this is why I started using social media and blogging – to get his word out there!!!
Yes, Jen. I often talk about this is where people now live. Mission and ministry needs to be here. Blessings.
