I am in a quandary. Two collects vie for this coming week’s shared-ancient-collects spot. The first (first, above) is from TEC’s Book of Common Prayer (p.235) – an ancient, shared prayer – the commentary is here. The second (directly above) is the Roman Catholic collect assigned for this Sunday. Again it has an ancient, shared history – the commentary is here.
