The Day of Pentecost concludes the Easter Season – it is the culmination of the Great Fifty Days of the Easter season. The first Sunday after Easter is Trinity Sunday!
Monday June 10 is the Monday in the 10th Week in Ordinary Time. We left off counting the weeks in Ordinary Time at the 8th Week prior to heading into Lent. A week is dropped because this year there are only 52 Sundays, and we have the extra week for years in which there are 53 Sundays.
So we do not use the Collect for the Day of Pentecost on Monday. We use the collect for the 10th Ordinary week.
