Many will know that Stephen Colbert is taking over for David Letterman as Late Show host. As host of The Colbert Report Stephen Colbert presents a persona of a devout, conservative Roman Catholic. It has often fascinated me when people cannot distinguish Stephen Colbert from his The-Colbert-Report persona. These, presumably, will get quite a surprise if the persona is significantly different on the Late Show, or if Stephen Colbert there hosts as himself!
Stephen Colbert is a man of faith.

Don’t miss Colbert’s liturgical dance
Brilliant 🙂
Re “Redemption for All”–Jesus told a parable about this. We call it the parable of the Prodigal Son. Stephen is playing the role of the older brother.
Yes, Bill. Probably better called the parable of the Prodigal Father 🙂 Christ is Risen!
Mr. Colbert remained in character for his testimony before congress about migrant farm workers. Transcript here: http://kiplange.com/transcript-of-stephen-colberts-testimony-before-congress/ and YouTube link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pp8HbMH27_s
It’s his response to the question right after his prepared remarks that’s the kicker. There’s living out his baptismal covenant!
