Worship witness work

I have just been pointed to a very attractive video by Michelle Ngo with music composed by Daron Murphy. It shows some highlights from the Episcopal Church since the General Convention of 2006. In my opinion it presents a very attractive image of a church’s worship, witness, and work. I am a strong advocate of quality and enthusiasm in those dimensions of our Christian life – and of using the new technologies available to present our life.

I am not interested in debating here decisions or directions of the Episcopal Church. There are plenty of other sites devoted energetically to that. Anglican cap tip to Scott Gunn.

  1. You know, one of the disadvantages of being in a rural area is I only get to worship on Sunday via Holy Eucharist and on Wed. early a.m. in Morning Prayer.

    I think if I were a city dweller, I’d worship every day. The idea of “daily Mass” appeals to me. When I was visiting a nearby monastery, I think what I loved the most was worshiping multiple times every day.

    Don’t get me wrong; I also like my quiet solo worship time daily. But I wonder sometimes how much more trusting I might be in my faith if I could worship every day, and receive the Sacraments more than just once a week.

  2. Thank you for this.

    You are right;

    I love our crazy church and I am growing spiritually both because of it and in spite of it.
