Pray For Peace

Pray for World

Lead me from death to life,
from falsehood to truth;
lead me from despair to hope,
from fear to trust;
lead me from hate to love,
from war to peace.
Let peace fill our heart,
our world, our universe.

This is a prayer said daily by people of different world faiths, and it is shared as a wish hoped for by those who may not belong to a world faith. As the horror unfolds in Paris, I add my hope and prayer.

I am also very conscious of the many, many Muslims who share this hope for peace.
I am not going to get preachy here, as it is so easy to hit the wrong note, but I also encourage reflection on the different reaction to the atrocities in Beirut on November 12 compared with the atrocities in Paris on November 13.

There is an online Chapel here.
Here is a reflection and commentary on the above prayer.
Here is one place to keep up to date.
